Gelagen Ingredients: Full Label Analysis

By Gelagen Skin Science Desk · September 2026

Every dose below is taken directly from the Gelagen Supplement Facts panel. This is complete and unedited.

The headline nutrients

Biotin at 5,000 mcg (16,667% DV) is the anchor ingredient. Vitamin E uses natural d-alpha tocopheryl acetate. B12 is methylcobalamin (the bioavailable form). Zinc is zinc citrate (better absorbed than oxide). Folate at 442 mcg DFE reflects the correct folic acid conversion.

The honest weaknesses

Vitamin C at 20 mg delivers only 22% DV — modest for a skin-focused product. Choline at 0.04 mg is 0% DV, essentially a trace. Inositol at 40 mcg is negligible vs the 2–4g used in research. Full transparency means these gaps are visible.

What the label does NOT list

No collagen. No hyaluronic acid. Some third-party marketing claims these, but the Supplement Facts panel does not support it.

FDA biotin safety note

Mandatory disclosure: the FDA has warned that high-dose biotin (including 5,000 mcg) can interfere with troponin and other lab tests. Tell your doctor before any blood work.
